To commemorate the 5th Centenary of the Discovery of America, celebrated in 1992, the Olympic Games in Barcelona, the Universal Exposition in Seville, and the European Capital of Culture in Madrid were held in Spain that year.

This set of uncirculated coins contains 25-peseta coins dedicated to Seville, 50-peseta coins dedicated to Barcelona, and 200-peseta coins dedicated to Madrid for their respective events held in 1992.
