Descrição
This 1990 BU New Zealand Set was minted by the Royal Australian Mint and contains a set of five commemorative coins from 5 Cent to 1 Dollar. The Set commemorates various New Zealand Landmark events in 1990.
The set was packaged in a blister type folding coincard and was inserted in a slipcase.
The 5 cent coin commemorates The Kotuku, a White Heron the symbol of the 1990 celebrations.
The 10 cent coin features the traditional canoes used by the first Maoris to settle in New Zealand.
The 20 cent coin depicts HMS Tory which was used to transport the first English settlers to New Zealand.
The 50 cent coin shows the Child and the Tree, representing the planting of 700,000 trees , one for each NZ Child, in 1990.
The $1 coin shows the signing of the Treaty of Waitangi.
