Descrição

After a night of torrential rains, the morning of 18th June 1815 dawns on the site of Waterloo.
The Grand Army, which the Emperor swiftly prepared for action again (he only returned to Paris on 20 March 1815 after his escape from the island of Elba), is ready to encounter the forces of the Duke of Wellington and field marshal Blücher.
After some bloody but localised skirmishes for the control of a number of key points, the onslaught comes. Through charges and gunfire heroism is drowned in blood. At 8p.m. the battle is finished, the Imperial Guard retreats in disorder, the Emperor flees. More than 30,000 men do not get up.
