Sup,
I started coin collecting in 2020 during COVID-19. During a time when I had nothing to do.
I got into the hobby thanks to my grandpa (RIP 13.11.2024) and fell in love with collecting.
As an Asperger, my knowledge and memory of coins is pretty good.
Right now, I'm collecting every type of coin and banknote that I find through thrifting, but it's mostly silver.

Most comes from fleamarkets and Antique shops.

I like coins from all around the world, but I specifically collect:
-Any German coinage. Especially Notgeld and State coinage
-Old silver coins
-Old Coinage from Around the world
-Old Banknotes
-Coins from countries that don't exist anymore

However there are also coins that I dont collect. These are:

-Any coins made after 1985 with some exceptions.
-Coins from the US, the UK, Canada, India, Israel, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand.
-1 1/2 to 500 Euro commemorative Coins
-Silver or nonprecious metal commemorative coins made after 1980
-Gold and Silver Bullion coins
-Chinese and Japanese pre-1800 cash coins
-Coins made from Steel (Stainless and normal), Iron and other Magnetic Minerals.
-Roman Coins
-Countermarked Coinage
