Has anyone else noticed that the size of Poland's 100 Zloty changed in length between 1976 and 1986? I know my examples aren't in very good condition, but even that amount of wear and tear can't account for 3mm+ difference.
Sizes should only be compared with high grade notes. The substrate can shrink in circulation and there are also tolerances in production, also the banknotes in your example aren't completely aligned (the lower grade one is also a bit wavy) reducing the difference a bit.
I'm not looking at the size of the paper, but the size of the printed area. The bottom note is 1300, whilst the top note (even when pulled flat) only gets to 1270.
