bought these from an antique shop. Looks like N#12517 but obverse doesnt quite match up and reverse isnt sharp. Are these modern fakes? They do have signs that theyre cast and still have a little of the sprue left… but they seem really off. Attached are pictures
I think they are real. If the “branch” where the coin was cut from the tree can be seeing, I guess it is a good sign that was made as was intended to be.
I thought so… but the words don’t seem as sharp as examples online, there’s a rather unusual shine and if you do zoom in theres rather unnatural lines(not sure if it’s part of casting process) in the coins fields. Also I still can’t identify the exact ruler these coins were issued for lol. Was told upon sale it was Kelantan pitis but perhaps it could be some other state
A breakthrough — excellent. The coin you show explains the rounded details and perfectly matches my coins reverse. However, the obverse isnt a perfect matchup. for example a “s” looking symbol instead of a dot, among other details although most details line up. What could this mean?
