So if you have sole pre 1949 Thai coins and want to sell them (I have no coin to exchange) don't hesitate to send me your list by PM.

1. Canada, but I haven't cataloged all of them (like my jars of 2000+ pennies sorted into copper and CPZ/CPS)
2. United States, most rescued from circulation. Most of these are sold off at slightly above exchange rate, but I have found about 40 of the American State Quarters circulating in Canada! The nerve of some people. Of course, I also have some U.S. "keepers" (although... American coins are usually way overpriced compared to world coins with similar designs, eras, and mintages, so I try to avoid them).
3. U.K., many are from relatives in the U.K. and can be easily found at Canadian coin stores. You can also find many Dutch coins here... who knows why?
4. Mexico, some are from relatives who visit the U.K., others I picked out because most Mexican coins are pretty attractive! I am working on a set of circulating commemoratives in the modern era and Numista is a big help for this.
5. Russia and USSR, because I usually pick Soviet coins from junk bins and get many Russian commemoratives through swapping. Of course, my most recent swap with Russia was completed just days before the very latest Sochi 2014 coin was released...
See.. I don't have nearly as many per country as some because I collect empire/commonwealth I have only about 2000 coins in my collection and they are starting to get expensive now !
My top 3 are
Uk (inc Channel Islands)
India (British empire, affiliated princely states and modern day commonwealth)
Canada both pre and federated.

Here's my top 10, and I believe I will add some new countries to the lists:
1) Sweden - 730
2) UK - 259
3) USA - 248
4) Denmark - 191
4) Canada - 191
6) Finland - 168
7) Portugal - 167
8) France - 155
9) Germany (Federal) - 114
10) Spain - 124
Runner ups are Greece, Italy and Austria.
The reason why I have so much more of Swedish coins is simply because I've been given a lot of old Swedish coins and I have also been collecting all years from the circulating coin dating 1969-2012 of 1, 5 and 10 Kronor.

USA and German tallies (and older France) are helped by the multiple mintmarks. Belgium is effectively being collected twice, once for each language. If I only collected by type and date, France would overtake USA, and Germany and Belgium would not be in the top 10 (to be replaced by Italy and the Philippines).

I will do the same, update my top 10 here, but just when it significantly changes. Maybe once in few weeks or so. I don't have too many changes in short time. I guess the coming weekend I will update, because few swaps have changed the overall picture by then maybe.
But yes, it is interesting, and it keeps up the challenge in your own coin collection I think. Statistics is always cool.
My collection is smaller than most here. This is by different types:
1. India - 124 (Still not sure exactly how it happened)
2. Romania - 83
3. Sweden - 67
4. Argentina - 55 (I'm surprising myself here)

Heh, actually only USA was kicked out the list by Poland and the rest remained on same spots, just different amounts of coins.
And I had typo with Belgium in first post. It was 62 then and still is...

6. Ancient Rome 420

and, in case we are not counting ancient Rome,
11. Italy 231 (or should I combine Italy and ancient Rome for a total of 651 moving them into 4th place?)

#1 is Canada, even these jars push me over the edge:
#2 is the USA from all the coins I've taken out of circulation. Please stop spending your creepy new Jefferson nickels up here
#3 - Mexico! - 143 coins
#4 - UK - 124 coins
#5 - Austria - 123 coins (because I have nearly all of the Schillings in every date)
#5 - Russia - 87 coins
#6 - Italy - 81 coins
#7 - France - 75 coins
#8 - Netherlands - 72 coins
#9 - Spain - 61 coins
#10 - USSR - 56 coins
All the Germanys taken together give me 93 coins, but this doesn't count. My collection sounds pretty boring and all-European... but I saved way too many cheap Eurocoins a few years ago and this puts everything off balance.
My list is quite lengthy now... I have a LOT of countries with 1 coin, and not enough above 1 coin to make up for 10 countries. So here it is, as it stands now:
1) Canada - 147
2) Poland - 11
