Arthur L. Friedberg (born 1950) is a prominent numismatist, author, and educator, widely respected for his expertise in the field of currency and coinage. He serves as the president of the Coin & Currency Institute, a publishing company specializing in numismatic literature. Alongside his brother, Ira S. Friedberg, he has authored influential reference works such as Paper Money of the United States: A Complete Illustrated Guide With Valuations and Gold Coins of the World: From Ancient Times to the Present. These publications are regarded as authoritative texts, shaping the study and collection of currency worldwide. A member of the Professional Numismatists Guild since 1977, Friedberg has also made significant contributions to numismatic education through his books and leadership roles.
In 2001, Friedberg became the first American president of the International Association of Professional Numismatists, reflecting his global impact on the numismatic community.
