Bernhard Prokisch

Bernhard Prokisch (born 1957) is an Austrian numismatist affiliated with the Oberösterreichische Landes-Kultur GmbH. His research primarily focuses on European coinage from the modern period, approximately 1500 to 1990. He is notably involved in the project "Repertorium zur neuzeitlichen Münzprägung Europas" (Directory of Modern European Coinage), contributing to volumes such as those on the Bavarian and Franconian Imperial Circles.

Prokisch has also worked on documenting coin finds in Austria, collaborating with institutions like the Austrian Academy of Sciences and the Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna. His efforts aim to analyze coin circulation and economic history in the region.
