Daniele Diotallevi is a distinguished historian, numismatist, and expert in military history and cultural heritage. A graduate in Philosophy from the University of Bologna (1973), he also holds a diploma in Archival Studies, Paleography, and Diplomatics from the State Archives School in Bologna (1978). From 1983 to 2014, he served as a historical art officer for Italy's Ministry of Cultural Heritage.
He has been a professor of Cultural Heritage Legislation at the University of Macerata and the Academy of Fine Arts in Macerata since 1999.
Additionally, Diotallevi is actively involved in scholarly societies and institutions. He is the Vice President of the Pesaro and Urbino Committee for Italian Risorgimento History, Director General of the Gothic Line Museum in Montegridolfo, and a member of several scientific committees and cultural organizations.
