Élie Boudeau (1852-1912) was a French numismatist and politician, born in La Rochelle. Initially an industrialist in soap manufacturing in Paris, he served as a deputy for the Seine from 1889 to 1893 under the Boulangist banner. Passionate about numismatics, he published an illustrated catalog of French coins in 1912, a three-volume work that remains a major reference in the field.
An active member of the French Numismatic Society from 1893, Boudeau dedicated himself to the preservation and study of French coins.
