Giorgi Dundua

Giorgi Dundua (1932-2019) was a Georgian historian and numismatist. He graduated from the Faculty of History at Tbilisi State University in 1957. From 1958 to 1968, he worked in the numismatics department of the Simon Janashia Museum of Georgia, and from 1968 onwards, at the Ivane Javakhishvili Institute of History, Archaeology, and Ethnography, later transitioning to the Center for Archaeological Studies. Dundua also lectured at various higher education institutions and conducted research on issues of ancient and medieval Georgian numismatics.
