Hello experts!
This one is a challenge!

Got with some islamic coins (might not be islamic though), would throw away but I noticed two X within a square in the coin, I think this particular sign could be helpful, I am confident I've seen before long time ago, so I guess someone could help.

Any thoughts what might be?

Diameter: 16mm
Weight around 0.8-1.2g

Any comment will be welcome!

Thank you for your tip Damian
But I think is not roman, it is lighter than roman coins and are some pallets between the "X" or the "X" are inside some kind of squares.

I guess might be some kind of part of a crown or a clothe like Trebizond Dinasty coins...

Thank you again for the message!
Its a crud, now lost to the ages, unfortunately. Your eyes will start playing tricks on you as you will think you will see identifiable shapes...

I originally thought, as yourself, that it was IC XC. But, it could also be the design of an emperor's clothing. I also seem to see an elbow, then again it could be nothing. The image is playing games with my eyes...
