New 2018 coin have different alloys in both enter and ring.
For KM# 182a the outer ring is brass (not magnetic).

I have to ask. Looks like you uploaded new pictures for the km 182a and use the most restrictive license available. I would have thought you would use Public domain. Also, what file format were the pictures? The black background on the thumbnails and no background on the enlarged image is typical for PNG pictures.
2018 year line might be only for the new alloy coin, don't you think?
It seems that the old alloy was used to mint some of the 2018 coins too.

I think an argument can be made that that the 2018 KM#182 does not exist.
This coin has an NRI of 16 which means approximately 575 members claim to have one or both years. The frequencies 100% (2016) and 0.8% (2018) means 570 members have the 2016 and 5 members have the 2018 (including the OP who is confused about which is which). I think it's quite probable that the other 4 members claiming to have a 2018 KM#182 actually have a KM#182a and just picked to wrong page to record it.

The black background is a new effect from my remove background site: https://pixlr.com/fr/remove-background/ and I certainly didn't want to copyright my fotoes, so I'll have to remove my settings in the profile.
I just checked my home made images and I can not see where the black background came in, since my jpg files are like this, but I still think it the remove-background application doing it, since I can't use Photoscape for not round coins! here my jpg files

No. Changing the file extension from .png to .jpg does not change the file format. It only tricks programs into thinking it's a jpg file (Numista gets tricked also). It still behaves as a png. You can see this on the pictures you just posted. No background:
What I do when I use that site to crop pictures is open the saved png with Paint then save as (convert to) jpg. It gives this warning
which is exactly what I want to happen.

Thanks a lot, I'll proceed to Paint immediately. Imagine I'm still sitting round with Pakistani coins (not round) ½ anna km2 and 1 anna 1949 km3, wanting to document the 1949 with and without dots, so I have to remove background again and would have had the problem again!

I'm totally agree with you, I still think that 2018 coin only exists with the new alloy.

They're still the png files. Start over. Open in Paint. Save as .JPEG type.
This is the picture you just now posted. Notice no background. Text behind it goes to the coin edge. When I right click it and then “save image as” Firefox recognizes it as png, not as a jpg.
