I just finished my collector's desk.

Wood is fun to work with but incorporating electricity is not the easiest thing...

Super.

I have more of a 'collector's nest' on my desk!

Same here 😂

I collect and deal in ancient Roman coin. In case you're looking for affordable ancient coins or need any help with the coins you already have send me a message.

Very well organized, indeed, congratulations! Are you married? Sorry, for that question. I suppose, you show us your collection only?

I couldn't do that, since it's spread around my central work place (80 binders)  (the beginning was orderly) and now on top of the entrance cupboard (20 collection binders) and another 20 in my dressing room.

My doubles (15.000) are in 9 organized boxes in 2x2 envelopes (50 20 pages in each, stored in the vacuum cleaner room) and then in 14 shoeboxes with country envelopes, again in the entrance cupboard. Here I have to add, that I got rid of around 200 kg doubles from my cellar, where they just occupied space, to a few French collectors, who nicely came to pick up 30Kg each…..

I have dreamt about cleaning out my 700 bottles of wine from my cellar (no wifi, no heating, no electricity, no room for a proper coin desk) and installing everything there, but then I don't know where to put my wine, and I would be cold and without communication!

So I'll go on living in an organized, chaotic and always growing coin universe, thanking whoever, that my wife still accepts me and my coins, but then she's got her own hobbies and two full rooms to use for that.

That's life for a 76 old coin collector.

Yes, my wife often groans about my piling up of coins but it's still handable as long as I don't invade the living room and then I don't still get 40,000 coins on the counter 🙃. I realize that it can't be easy to tidy up such an amount of coins …

How about an international Numista meeting to clean these? 😝

Frenchlover that woodwork is a reflection of your true passion for the hobby. Such supreme organisation is awesome.

I am impressed & envious🙃

We could help you sort out the coin collection whilst sampling the wine.

700 bottles sounds like a treasure

Four years later, my shelf is overflowing.

It's time to expand my storage space :)

Yes it is! Stacking heavy binders on top of the cabinets is dangerous!

Imagine having a whole wall to fill up with shelves, that wasn't already filled with shelves or other clutter…

Wow such an amazing collection room! And I really like how it's all neat 😅
