Hello guys:
I was told in French the word for “mule coin” is different to English, but I searched “mule monnaie” on French side of Numista and found several pages with this word.
Please English/French speakers, let me know about.
Regards,
Daniel.

La progéniture d'un cheval femelle et d'un âne mâle s'appelle une mule, et l'opposé s'appelle un bardot. Cependant, la progéniture d'un âne et d'un cheval est presque toujours stérile et incapable de se reproduire.
As you can see it's the same word and meaning
Mule error coins are particularly interesting pieces. They derive their name from the offspring of a donkey and a horse. This creation (a blending of 2 distinctly different species) commonly serves as a working animal.
I have heard about “pièces monnaies hybrides” and when searching , I found this

Yes, it helps, so we know the word is the same on both languages. My question was if in French was used “mule” for coins too, or they use other denomination; I have seen “hybride”, but I feel it is less used than mule.
Thanks for info.
You should ask in the French forum, I would guess there are way more French collectors then here.

In Canada, we use the term MULE (in both languages, French and English). The term MULE is a term used to refer to a coin that was made with a mismatched die (i.e., one of the dies should not have been used).
