Hi

Just wondering what grade you would allocate to this coin?

Many thanks

Are you certain it is authentic? This example is clearly cleaned and/or possibly counterfeit.  Check weight / diameter. etc. You can compare here and get a good idea of it's authenticity and if so, approximate grade.

It weighs 12.48 grams and I only have a ruler it is just over 30 mm width

Weighs right and diameter is about right. Some of the details on your example are better than this graded example for comparison and some details are worse depending on where exactly you compare. Being a conservative grader, I always go to what I believe are areas that are critical to eye appeal and where I like to see the most details. I this case the hair and the chest. Liberty and the shield are also areas of important focus. Overall, including the reverse which you can compare with the link I already provided, I would grade this at VF20. compared to the VF20 example used from the Photograde link provided to you. I have not scrutinized the entire coin for authenticity as it is best to have it in hand to do so. Please remember, A grade is always qualified with the caveat that the coin has been cleaned. Your example shows some remaining  luster only because it has been cleaned. No doubt others have their opinion on how they would grade your example.

You can appreciate all the detail that has been lost, including the hair and the shield, on the example shown in the Numista link.
