Citação: tamilcoinsI have got a Hungary 1 Pengo (1941) Aluminium coin in a swap. It has a thickness of not more than 1.2mm thickness. But the Numista catalog shows thickness as 2.4 mm. Can anyone clarify ?
I have a friend who does orienteering. He always says: "If you have a map, and you see the terrain, and these two are different: Trust the terrain!" - sorry for the joke.
Official data for the 1941 Pengő is 1.6mm thick, as it is aluminium, your 1,2 mm is likely and the data in Numista must be wrong. - I have asked for modification, and I trust ZacUK or SmartOneKg will do it soon;
If you guys do it, you can add variations:
1941, 1942, 1943, 1944 every year countersigned by the "hammer and sickle" communist sign of the Red Army of the Soviets - mintage uncertain.
1941 - countersigned with the crowned Hungarian shield - mintage uncertain
