Request for identification help: Two unknown coins (maybe Roman) [Resolvido]

4 publicações • visualizado 93 vezes

Hello, dear Numista Community, a colleague of mine sent me pictures of two coins she once inherited and asked me for help identifying them. Unfortunately, it's not really my area of collection. So far I only have figured out they are maybe Roman, but I can't find them in the catalogue.

So once again I would like to ask for your help. Thank you in advance. :) (perhaps also with the valuation).

Coin 1:
Weight: about 11g
Size/Diameter: about 29 mm (and 2-3 mm high/thick)

Coin 2:
Weight: about 10g
Size/Diameter: about 30 mm (and 2-3 mm high/thick)

It would help if she had better pictures but I can at least say that coin #1 is of emperor Claudius who ruled 41-54. It's probably somewhere in this list — perhaps this one? (I didn't compare closely, but note the type of the reverse.)
