I have the following 1919 Vittorio Emanuele III Coin which Numista classifies as rare and am trying to determine a value.

I found this same coin on a website and the purchase price listed was 140,000 EUR (the equivalent of $182,910 USD) which I find hard to believe.  My coin is in very good condition.

The following is a description of the coin

Obverse
A Woman admiring and ear of Wheat
Lettering: ITALIA

Reverse
An allegorical figure of Liberty in flight holding a torch above Savoy Arms (Italy’s National Coat of Arms at that time). To left of the Savoy Arms is the denomination “C.20”, 1919, mint mark “R” for Rome. One lower left is the designer’s name “BISTOFLI”. On the lower right is the engraver’s name “L. GIORGI”.
NOTE: The reverse design has given the series of nicknames; “Flying Liberty”, Flying Victory” and even “Flying Nude”

Lettering:
C.20 1912 R
BISTOFLI M.  L.GIORGI INC.

If anyone could provide input on the value of this specific coin (1919) it would be most appreciate!
Hi, and welcome to the site! This is your coin right? https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces1958.html

Sometimes people have strange ideas of what they call 'rare'. Yes, 1919 saw a lower mintage, but 3.4 million is by no means 'rare'.
Here is the value for your coin in different conditions:

If you give us a picture we'll help you out with the condition. So... sorry for crushing your hopes, but it still is moderately valuable, being $120 in Uncirculated

According to NGC which is awesome for this its worth $7 in VF

It has an extremely low mintage for the year NGC have been known to get the prices wrong look on the net search 1919 20 centisemi and see the realised prices at auction etc, the numista rarity scale only applies too how many members on here have one so don't take it as gods word! Some of the most scarce coins on here have low ratings cos we are all minted "/ haha
Eminem is right. Whilst your coin is scarcer that the other business strikes of this type, it can by no means be described as rare - unless, that is, 95% of the 3+ million struck have been destroyed, in which case your coin would be rare. This raises a larger issue and that is these comments placed on the Numista catalogue listings which are often misleading, confusing or just plain wrong. I know the catalogue team are busy people but when they come across comments like this they should delete them.

Rick, what should happen is they need more people with administrative powers like me you and Phil and alot of other members just to be actively working on forums and/ or the catalogue.. That way the true web masters (Phil falls into this category I think) should work on the website and improving things like the rarity scale and instead saying numista popularity rating maybe ?

I think the web app could do with an upgrade too so you can see swaps and a few other things too although its not a necessity I would definitely be willing to help out especially with the amount if time
I spend on here ha, Infact I get like this only 1 forum I've been on where I haven't been atleast a moderator well and this  :`
Those who work the hardest deserve to be on the team. That means you, Rick.

I think the 20 Centesimi is a scarce coin, not a rare one. And I'm sure you guys know by now the difference between scarcity and rarity.

Not just about working the hardest on a forum that is worldwide we need people who are gunna be active when others are too.. Better having alot of mods than a few who work hard but only have 5 hours a week to spare for instance, not saying rick doesn't deserve it.
I am not saying I should get it just that I would do it although really I should not because I tend to get addicted to the cause and end up not talking to the mrs.. LOL
Actually on 2nd thought its just not worth it she holds the trump card like all women do "/

You make some good points here Mark. I have already indicated to several members that I would be happy to join the team, even though I don't spend as much time on here as some (mentioning no names!) I think one of the issues is the fact the Site Administrator has ultimate control and is the only one who can authorise team appointments or implement website improvements. Whilst I'm sure Xavier is there in the background, we generally don't hear much from him these days and we were expecting some deveopments in the New Year with regard to some delegation of responsibilities - here's hoping but not holding breath 8)

(apologies to MARKLAN for hijacking the thread - hope you got some useful answers)

Let's just say...you need to be patient! ;)
This coin is not rare, I have also three coins (1911, 1912 and 1913). It depends on quality and conditions...
