Vietnam 500 Dong 1988 P#101 - Small or Large Serial Number

3 publicações • visualizado 63 vezes

Hi,

This concerns N#203786

The description about differentiating the P#101a and P#101b says there are two variants. One with small serial number digits (17mm) being P#101a and one with large serial number digits (19mm) being P#101b.

The problem is that 17mm and 19mm are super large compared to the 3mm I measure on my banknote of 500 Dong.

What do these 17mm and 19mm represent?

Regards,

Benedict

I think I found the answer: The 17mm and 19mm is the length of the serial number without the letters prefix. I measure 18,5mm on my 500 Dong banknote.

The thing is that here N#202330 (1000 Dong of the same year) this mm measurement seems to include the letters prefix.
