A 1935 India Rupee is currently for auction/sale on EBAY. I have my doubts about its authenticity. First, I look at the gap between the coin and the NGC holder compared to Example A & B - there appears to be a discrepancy.    I do know that Example A & B are the same Coin.   I do find it suspicious both sellers are located in Poland and have zero Ebay History prior to the sale of this coin.

So let me know what you think  -  Is the coin currently on sale on eBay Fake or Real?

Same label, different holder, different coin.

This topic seems superfluous, only question: Why does anyone pay for graded restrikes??

my next idea:

Grading is not motivated by condition, but to hide base material.

- When were struck these restrikes ?

- Why NGC grade such coins/bullions ?

Restrike are legitimate coinage - usually done as commemorative piece to head of states or for other important individuals.  Normally, not produce in mass amounts and not for general circulation to the public.

Basically - It a common means of authentication of fake goods - most people are ignorant. I had my suspicions but even I needed peer verification.

If there is no information on an “official restrike”, then all these restrikes may be considered as fakes or bullions and multiplying the price of its weight in silver by 10 does not seem appropriate.

Does SCWC count?

Is it just me is the reverse more off centered than it should be compared to the NGC picture?

I had the same impression but then I convinced myself that's it's because the coin is rotated more in one than the other.

You are showing the Obverse - I was talking about the Reverse.

Yes, I know.  If the obverse is rotated more in the holder for one vs. the other then the reverse will be also.  So the difference you see is because the the coins are not oriented in the holder the same way.

That reasoning would work for most issuers, but it is well known that restrikes of Indian coins were produced up till the late 60s or early 70s, of rare coins, or Off-Metal-Strikes, usually for collectors with some influence. Considering how rare original 1935 Rupees are (They were only issued in tiny amounts as proofs), and their demand with collectors, a high price tag is to be expected. These restrikes are well known in British Indian and Early Indian Republic coinage.
