NZ 50 cents 1984/1985 A question about info here on this page

In 1984 and 1985 queen's effigy was recut and different, low relief was introduced, especially visible on cloth over shoulders which are empty and not round like in higher relief. Interestingly enough, but understandable, only circulation pieces are such, with P/L, proof and BU sets being the older type, more plastic and undoubtedly visually more appealing.

For the 50 cents coins here - they are indeed different by the definition of SCWC, exactly the same way as all other denominations. However, I found here: The KM#37.2 is no longer on this page, since it was NOT defined as this: "Recut die, low relief".  I would really like to learn more about that.

Rope is another variety on proofs, but circulation pieces are indeed different.

Good question, because it still is, at least on the French side:

Here are my 2 km37.2 coins and as a control a km37.1 from 1980

Have fun analyzing the images, the 38.2 are really different, do you want me to set up a documentation of the differences?

Here it is: Do you have other differences?

The 1984 and 1985 are obviously recut dies. So where comes this from in the comment sector: The KM#37.2 is no longer on this page, since it was NOT defined as this: "Recut die, low relief".

I don't know, but make a CR, you're welcome to use my graphic.

I'm sure the answer lies with the referee. Here's a screenshot from May 2022:

Also, notice that the mint for the 2,000,000 mintage lines no longer reference the Ottawa mint as in SCWC but the Canberra and Llantrisant mints.

Also something I don't like about the mints, the c, l and o for the mints. There are NO mint letters on this coin, so the c, l and o should not be in the “Mint Letter” box!

hello,

no solution, but I can share a pic of John Bertrand's catalog 2023:

All 50ct coins in 1984, 1985 are classified as KM 37.1

Thank you Stefan, for the info. But so strange. You can see the recut dies so clear on Ole's pictures.

I think you'll find that a lot on NZ and Australian coin pages.
