1700 Austria 1 Kreuzer coin?? [Resolvido]

Hello,

I've searched Austria, Hungary, Germany for exact match of the following coin (approx. 16 MM).

The closest I could find is "1700 1 Kreuzer - George Frederick II", but clearly not exact match…

  N#85144

Anyone have any advice on proper identification of this coin??

Thank you…Mark

p.s. I tried coinscatalog.net to identify by photo…didn't work

It's definitely a 1 kreuzer of Leopold I. There are a couple of possible ones with pretty much the same design. It looks like that the mintmark is usually at the feet of the eagle, in your case (F.N).

I think that your coin is one from Oppeln, Silesia: N#69097

The image on the linked page si slightly different because it doesn't have the (F.N) mintmark, but according to the cataloge, that only started to pop up from 1698. Yours is from 1700 and it clearly have it.

Also the lettering of yours is slightly different from the lettering of the 1698 one on the linked page. The reverse text is a little bit abbreviated ( DVX.BVR.SI instead of DVX.BVR.SIL), to make space for the mintmark, I presume.
Checked it in the Krause catalog as well and it mentions that varieties are exist.

Awesome!

I didn't think to check Bohemian coins…

Probably should have since I have a 1300 Bohemian 1 Gross and a 1471 Bohemian 1 Gross in my swap list.

Thank you much for your assistance!

…Mark
