I have found two pieces in my collection which I believe have the AA die mark and no PM on obverse. However, this is an extremely rare variety according to the catalogue. I believe my two pieces have the rounded 9 and no mint mark to make them both Schön# 858.1

the final picture is of the second piece

any help at all would be greatly appreciated, many thanks.

I won't have the access or time to review my coins or references for a few days, but the notes I have say that Southall says that the KM# 337 1992 AA PM is rare and I've been unable to find one in several years of searching.

I have no idea where the population of 200 for 1992 AA no-PM comes from. KM doesn't list no-PM as an option.

I suspect most of the people who report having 1992 AA PM haven't looked for the PM.

Southall says the 1992 PM AA version is rare, not the no-PM version. (3rd edition, page 270)

Schön lists a value of 0.75 Euro for Schön# 858.1 (non-PM). (47th edition, page 1340)

I'm going to submit a change request to remove the mintage of 200 from the non-PM verison.

The page has been updated with additional notes and the source of the mintage of 200 (thanks to @MMowiec ).

Since some of the pre-production coins weren't accepted by vending machines there might be some off-weight 1992 AA coins (with or without PM) in the wild.
