Hello 🤖

Without pictures, it will be very difficult for anyone to help you. Could you please post clear pictures of each side of your item?

Please note that this is an automatic message. Feel free to ignore if it is not relevant.

In order to attempt to value these, you need to post an image of each one, clear and in focus.

If you do post an image, I will look them up in a current catalogue (BYB) and give you a valuation for each imaged banknote.

You have some good banknotes here. They could be of significant value.
£20 - 35 if a Bernhard forgery, or maybe up to 500 if genuine.
I suggest you do a web search on the Operation Bernhard  forgeries and how identify them. £20 forgeries tended to be dated 1937.

On the 10 shilling notes, I would pout the following approximate values in Pounds Sterling, based on the Banknote Yearbook catalogue:
15L - 150, series 1948
17B - 30
65U - 25
68K - 25,
A11 - 100, series 1934
A54Y - 10
E17D - 50, series 1940
E83Z - 10
Z85 - 150, series 1928

Thanks Hibernia, it's very kind of you and much appreciated. We find it very interesting, but an absolute mine field to steer through so much detail, we have no idea how to tell different Series and obviously need to invest in some literature - we particularly like the 10/- notes but never realised some could be worth £100!!?

Read up on Operation Bernard after your reply, used by Nazi spies during WWII, but I think we will have to seek out someone with significant experience to say whether it is a forgery or not, but we will have a try!

Thanks very much once again for offering your wealth of knowledge and experience.

Glad to be of help.
