As you may (or may not) know, here in Canada we had our Five Dollar paper note “Spocked.” This was people adding their artwork on Wilfred Laurier, some like this:

And later on I saw one of these auctioned off for about 5X FV!

There were a bunch of them put out since 2016 when it was first proposed to replace Jackson with her.  Currently I think 2030 is the expected date.

If you do this on a genuine note in this country, the cops will come and knock on your door. It is against the law here. Back in 1992, the then Australia PM allegedly autographed two new A$5 polymer notes. The cops raided the owner's property but couldnot find the two notes. I understand that both notes were in UNC condition then. I wonder where the two notes are now?
