Building custom albums

I'm trying to set up an album that will include all the special finishes of US quarters starting in 2005. There's plenty that are almost complete, but none have room for both business strikes and satin finish. Also missing are the business strike S mint coins staring in 2012. The 2017 enhanced uncirculated, 2018 reverse proof, and 2019-2020 W mint coins.

So far I'm looking at with blank Whitman quarter albums and pages. Those have 22 spots a page with four rows of four across and two rows of three across. The Whitman will be nice because I already have some not being used. But I also like the blank Dansco pages, they have 4 rows of 6 going down, which would work pretty well for most years, but still leave one set running over to the next page per year. I don't mind ending up with a few empty holes per page, and maybe splitting a year across two pages would look nice.

I think I might sketch some layouts to try to plan it all out because it's a lot to keep track of, and when I purchase everything I want to get all the stuff I need in one go. Just curious for anyone else's advise, experience, and or input.

I do not plan to include the 5 ounce, I'm not that crazy. And I don't think I'll worry about 2026 just yet.

I'm not familiar with all of the latest quarters. I couldn't tell from your post how many total quarters are there per year?

I looked up both albums blank pages and I think the dansco looks the best. The staggered layout of the whitman seems unlikely to match the layout you need.

If there are less than 8 quarters per year you can do a section of 8 at a time and then just leave some holes blank. For the blank holes you can add filler coins to show the obverse or something, or you can add a disc with text like ‘2013’ or whatever. I think groups of 8 would look better than having them crammed together with no empty holes but starting at random slots.

With that many years you may need more than one album, they can only hold so many pages.

I've seen some people that make their own albums recommend using labelmakers that print black ink on clear stickers. That tends to look better than the alternatives.
