Are you sure it's not a fake? To me, it doesn't look authentic. The level of detail is just too rough, and the composition isn't right as well, as you have already noticed yourself. Many Indo-Chinese fakes have wrong dates.

Anything special from Asia which is purchased for a bargain from an unreliable source ('Don't know, I just found it in a drawer. Could be worth a lot, but here you are.') is highly suspicious!

I also think it is fake.

If it was a fake surely I would have seen more than this one in circulation (can you show me another example?) and why would be made out of silver as well. I guess I should get it authenticated, any idea as to how?
