If by any chance these coins would be offered for sale, I'd be happy to hear (region Belgium-France..)

Thanks !

i know there's only a small chance, but if 2 of them would be offered not to far from here, maybe it could lead to the thieves !

date is in title : 1927 SA  :8D

Most people do have valuables in their homes, like jewelry, watches...
It's impossible to put everything in a vault.

What use is it to have something, if you can't enjoy it ?

People should have more respect for other people's property. If it isn't your's, don't take it. If you want something : earn it ! But maybe I'm to naive...

Agree wholeheartedly.  What's the point of spending all your money on coins only to store them in a safety deposit box?  If you're going to do that you may as well just put your money in the bank.

When I get coins I want to have them round the house so I can get them out and look at them.  We've got a good neighbourhood watch network so they're pretty safe.  But if they do get stolen I have them fully insured.

Yea I wouldn't collect if I couldn't easily enjoy my work...that being said its important to take  concrete steps including storing coins in a safe as well as keeping up to date info on everything. Also on top of those precautions insurance isn't a bad idea.

I hope you find your coins though!
I don't know about your countries but here almost every burglary is committed to detached houses and living in an apartment is so safe that you don't even need a vault
i dont have to fiddle with my valueables. when i feel like it i look at photographs and know them in safety in the bank fault.

Good luck finding them back.

That's just lame.  I can look at photo's of the Eiffel tower as often as I like, but it doesn't really compare to being there in person does it?  As I said, if you've got your coins sitting in the bank in a safety deposit box then what's the difference between that and actually keeping your money in the bank in a bank account?
no it doesnt compare but for making short glimpses i am ok with that. i also have a safe at home too but there is nothing inside. i think  salt dough handicraft could be there, its somehow broken so nobody can open it at the moment. will be a poor thief after finding that out :8D

the bank doesnt know whats in the box, thats different to a account there.

Tonny, I hope you will find  coin. its  too hard, almost impossible... as gold sovereigns are  coins which is very hard to  catch a  trace... but, anyway, I wish you to find them.

After  hamster`s  comment, I remind a  great phrase of  great Tony :) from great  moovie :

I don't think anyone can be stupid enough to sell certified stolen coins
I spent my first 23 years in South Africa. I would not be surprised at all if the thief did something that stupid.
I dont think the average thief knows about pcgs and ngc.

The coin was not stolen in South Africa, but Belgium/France region... :~
Thank you all for your concerns, but I guess the coins have been melted already...
The good news is this way the 1927 has become more rare... 0:)
