Would you be able to measure it roughly??? and if your estimation is correct about the year, then it should have a woman facing the left i'm not sure what legend it is most probably like 2nd or 3rd??,
Hi,
about your Isle of Man 10 pence,
the letters can be found above the foot at right:
So this is an "AC" type
(the lettering is very odd-shaped, I agree...)

Hello Hasbin,
Yes there is a lady looking left on both the pics,
You can view the lady when you click on the very TOP picture above.
I would hazard a guess, going by the way the ladys hair is ties up that it is a 2nd? design?
The edges is smooth and the diameter of the penny is 30mm
And the thickness looks to be around the 1mm mark
Yeah from your estimate, my guess is a One Penny ( which you have all ready said), which is made of bronze from this era, and weighs roughly 9.5g, is this a find or just something you bought??? because where I live I can get hundreds of things like this, especially from Victoria's reign..
I live in UK and I guess lots of people have this pre-decimal coins lying about,
maybe just handed down to them or just found them in the garage or attic.
The reverse of the pennies where the britannia? sits with a trident?
its barely visible at all and the back is nearly completely flat.
Pretty good, if by any chance you live in Kent, there is a great shop in Bromley, called Peter Morris, ( who is also the owner of the shop, but has great picks from hudreds of years ago to quite recently. I do go there quite frequently, i am actually going this friday...
