I think if you read the information at the top it says that the final two digits are erratically punched from 1935-50 over 17...which explains the odd shape of numbers.

it has the cursive numeral form that is also found in the 1941 variety, however it look crudely form so it may be a pattern piece or fake, I am just curious if any other member of numista have ever encounter such a coin. As far as the very faint 17 goes, it does not apply.

It states often there is 17, not always. It also states how the last two digits can be erratic so it could well apply to your coin. Of course this is speculation especially as I cannot find another example of the fat last two digits.
It is a strange strike but it seems to be already explained (still speculation), there may well be many different strike types out there but are just hard to find.
