15 different Indian Head cents. Suitable for a new or young collector, or someone just looking to fill a few dates. The later dates are OK but as usual the earlier ones are less so. (not as bad as the camera makes out though!!)

15 different Indian Head cents. Suitable for a new or young collector, or someone just looking to fill a few dates. The later dates are OK but as usual the earlier ones are less so. (not as bad as the camera makes out though!!)
1865, 1883, 1889, 1890, 1892, 1898, 1900, 1901, 1902, 1903, 1904, 1905, 1906, 1907, 1908.
Who's got $10?
33 different coins from the period just before WWI to the height of WWII including many of the issues from the Mussolini regime featuring the very popular Fascist icons.
31 unsearched 3rd Reich minors (1- 10 Reichpfennig) Mixed condition ranging from "needs some TLC" to album ready. These are duplicates that I had intended to auction on Listia so I can't say much about the dates / mints except that I already have them in my own collection.
$15 ?

Make Numismatics Great Again!
Large lot of better quality coins. They are in stacks of 10, counted by Miss Abby personally, (80 total, I checked). At some point somebody considered these coins to be worth putting into 2x2 flips so these are usually better quality and higher value. Dates are mostly older types, if I had to guess I'd say that 1920 would be a ballpark average. More recent dates seem to be high grades. A pretty worthwhile lot in my humble opinion.
$30 would seem a good place to start.

Make Numismatics Great Again!
Substantial lot of British Pre Decimal coins. Ranging from Queen Victoria to Queen Elizabeth, an instant collection of the world's consistently best coins. (According to me, but I'm biased)
Lot of 14 old banknotes from Tsarist Russia and Germany. Dates range from 1898 (!!) to the 1920's. Despite their venerable age they are a bit too ratty to have any great value but they are still quite colorful and beautiful and well...... how often do you see a 120 year old banknote? I think they would look great hanging on your dining room wall in a nice frame.
Pretty huh? I don't collect banknotes so I've no idea where to start so let's say a nice round $10.

4 x First Day Covers. Three are from the lead up to the bicentennial celebrations and include medals struck by the US mint, two from 1974 and one from 1976. The fourth is to mark the release of the SBA Dollars in 1979 and includes a coin from the first issue.

Make Numismatics Great Again!
Lot of 11 ancient late Roman Empire coins. I think they are all different and in decent shape for their age and that's all I can tell you. I've kept some in their flips as they are already attributed. It does however make it even harder to capture the details in a photo.
$20 seems pretty reasonable.

One for the connoisseur of fine coins. Japan Mint Bureau 1985 set. The coins are remarkably blemish free and without the usual carbon spots. Any apparent flaws are either a reflection of the camera lens or on the plastic case. These are far better quality than the US sets, comparable to the SMS issues of the 1960's.

$30 seems a good place to start. If the price goes over $50 I'll remove the Trump photo.
I'll pay you $10 if you remove it right now.

Phil, it seems that you have a nice collection of pictures - why don't you open a new topic (or continue it here) and offer to post them for small money that will go to Abby's fund? Maybe someone would hate to see Hilary the same way I hate seeing yet another Trump picture that he/she will gladly pay to get it removed?
Just a suggestion...

Oh, I'd love to. Or maybe answer some of the world's great unanswered question in exchange for a small donation. Don't y'all want to know who really shot JFK? Phil knows this and many other things.
The problem is time. There are just not enough hours in the day right now and I'm getting far behind. I've still got coins waiting to be mailed since the weekend. Perhaps when the raffle is completed.

A very large lot, two pounds by weight, of Spanish pre Euro coins. These have been kindly donated to the cause by Numista member Spookie. He will be mailing them and has offered to cover the shipping costs for domestic buyers. If anyone overseas wishes to take these, I would suggest contacting him directly to see if there's a solution - the cost will likely be prohibitive due to the weight.
$20 with free shippng seems fair enough.

One for all you silver bugs. Donated by our brother collector War Axe who will also cover the shipping costs domestically. I'm unsure about overseas, I would recommend asking him directly about that.
Dimes 1905, 1909, 1941, 1944. Quarters 1916D, ND SLQ, 1944. 7 coins in total, conditions as shown.
As these can't be shipped until Monday, I'd like to let this run until Sunday evening and accept the highest offer. I believe (and Numismedia agrees with me) that these have a value somewhat North of their silver content but let's get the ball rolling at less than 18 x Face Value..... $20.

I'd be happy to bid on lots 18 through 20, but don't see any starting bid, and no description of lot 20. I'll put $15 on each, sight unseen if they are still available, and will increase my bid as appropriate with more info! Thanks for the auction!
From 1966 -1967 the US Mint produced no proof sets. Instead they released an annual Special Mint Set, which were regular business strike issues produced to a much higher quality standard and given very careful handling. An SMS ciins is easily identifiable when compared to a regular uncirculated coin.
You can curently pick these up from Ampex or MCM for around $13 each (or $27 from Littleton, huff!) however you can't see the actual set, just a stock photo. This set below is flawless, free from carbon spots or undesireable toning. I picked it out of a lot of several dozen some years ago (I reckon that makes it a Special Special Mint Set) and kept it because I think they are way undervalued.

I bought this with the intention of cracking the coins out but shortly afterwards decided to collect only Swiss coins prior to the 1968 debasement. Prices run between $30 - $40+ -plus fees. This set has got that frustrating rotation going on (didn't matter to me as I as intending to break it up) so I'll let you folks decide the price.
Large lot of coins from the 1800's. 121 coins in total weighing well over 1 1/2 pounds. I know this is what many of you have been waiting for, so here it is.
It's a real mixed lot, some have issues, some are worn, some cleaned, but most I think are perfectly acceptable for any collection. There may be a few duplicates. There's at least one silver coin but I won't pull that eBay trick of saying "INCLUDES SILVER!!!!" . Let me be perfectly honest with y'all, these are either common dates or better dates with issues. I know the value of every coin that passes through my hands so please don't think that you are going to find lots of high dollar coins. At the risk of getting less money, I don't want to misrepresent this lot and disappoint anyone. There's no room for dishonesty between friends I hope and anyway, who doesn't love a 200 year old coin even if it's beat up a bit?
Not everyone is able to afford to pay $20 or even $200 for a single coin so I reckon it's a great opportunity to put together a lot of antique coins for your albums even if some of them may be regarded only as fillers.
Let's get things moving just over 30c per coin..... $40 anyone?

Thanks Mark. Sue had a $15 bid on this lot already. It's kinda buried up there because I listed them in the OP and didn't get around to posting the price and pictures in a timely manner. Sorry about the confusion, my fault entirely.

I've got to wrap up a couple of substantial coin sales and get a few remaining lots ready for shipping. Once I've caught up, I'll start listing some increasingly nice coins / lots over the weekend.
Does anyone have any requests?
Rarities / high value key dates?
More bulk lots of vintage coins?
PCGS / NGC Certified coins?
Mint / Proof Sets?
Stamps?
Banknotes?

Anything African. Especially defunct countries would be great. Maybe that Rhodesian 1977 1/2 penny you have been hoarding would be a great start.........no telling what I might give for that bad mamma jamma.
Sorry I've been inactive recently. My beautiful and very wise wife ordered a complete rest over the weekend and Memorial Day. So, now I'm fully recharged and back fighting the good fight. There's a bit of a lull on the legal front as the attorney builds the case, but I'll keep y'all informed of any new developments in the topic in the Free Discussion forum or on Facebook where many people are following our story with concern and interest.
I can for sure find a huge lot of banknotes and a modest lot of African coins. I've got a couple of hefty trades to deal with and then I'll start to list some more coin lots.
I think most of you should have already received your purchases, however if I've overlooked you please don't hesitate to let me know. It's been a very busy time. If you're still intending to be actively bidding I'll leave it entirely up to you when you wish to "tap out". It makes perfect sense to me to wait until there's enough value to offset the shipping charges. Just send me a PM whenever you would like a total and payment details.
Thanks everyone for your continued support and generosity.

Certified and USA 3 cents I miss that one in my collection.
At the outbreak of The War of Northern Aggression (US Civil War) circulating money vanished overnight as people began hoarding it. Military contractors supplying provisions to Lincoln's invading armies issued tokens which were also intended to provide a display of patriotism in addition to meeting the needs of wartime commerce.

The following lots will run until roughly Sunday 11th June at which time the highest offer will be accepted.
*****FREE 17TH CENTURY SILVER / BILLON COIN*****
The person with the highest combination of winning bids will also receive the coin below as a thank you gift. It's in better than average shape but as is common with coins from the period, it's somewhat off centre. I've not had the time to identify it but it's a Solidus from one of the Baltic States dating from about 1650.

Lucky Penny lot. Since around WWII many companies have been giving away encased cents to their customers. I've been collecting them for quite a while before quitting to concentrate elsewhere. Most can be picked up for around $3 with a significant premium for the earlier ones and for those using more sought after coins. Included in this collection is a very early example from the 1940's, a Canadian specimen and an Indian Head cent.

Sample slabs. These have been discussed on the forums at frequent intervals. They are a niche interest within numismatics. They have been around as long as grading services and were given away to dealers and collectors to promote their services or to launch new style slabs. This is a lot of 4, three are rather common cents and a nickel but the star of the show is the 1960 silver dime. For obvious reasons silver coins were not given away with any great frequency.
