Identification of an ancient coin [Resolvido]

Can any assist me in the identification of this coin.

So far I have worked it that it is Indian in origin (at least I think so) I will add the weight and size later.

PetrusAscanus is correct. This is an "octopus man" type coin from Sri Lanka and Southern India from the period of roughly 1000-1200 AD. The denomination is a copper kahavanu. These are often attributed to RajaRaja Chola, 985-1014 AD, but many similar coins were made by rulers following him. The references PetrusAscanus has given have photos of some of these variations, so with the coin in hand you may be able to match one of them and determine if it is actually RajaRaja Chola or one of his successors.

Raja raja Copper Massa- The lamp to left appears as a Fish, next to the Trident.
