hi all, is there anybody who could help identify this coin. It came out of a bag of pre decimal coins. It's approximately 27mm in diameter and 1mm thick.
Once cropped and brightened, in that second picture I can almost see the letter S on
top left also - which is also what is on the coins in those two links.

So as you are in UK and it was found in a bag of (presumably UK) pre-decimal coins,
and the size is close (normal coins are 28mm and your worn coin is 27mm),
it looks likely to be a 1/2 Penny from around 1729 to 1754 dates.
