hello everyone, i purchased this ancient coin and neither i or the seller could identify this coin. Anyone maybe knows?

That second image, the tower either side of a triangle, is like the reverse of coins from Hungary.

Example: N#51062

Though not the same, shown as an example of similar.

Token collector [1600-1899] with some coins

Oh, and what is the diameter?

Oh, and what is the diameter?

18-20mm i think

Maybe it could be a church, with a tower either side of a pointed roof.

On the other side (of yours) only seen the tall cross at the top. Could be like this:

N#78427

but no pictures so not sure.

That one is too small. My coin is 18mm in diameter and this one is 11mm.

I wrote that while you were also writing.

Not about the size of it anyway, more the description.

Do you think Hungary?

it maybe Hungary or maybe Byzantine empire

Hi. I would rather look in Germany or Austria. Some bishopric. Here a denarius similar in diameter and with a drawing of a church / castle. Unfortunately, yours is badly damaged

And why do you think it is Byzantine?  Hopefully, it isn't a “shooting darts in the dark” assessment…
