But the last days this site was unavailable. So I couldn't post it earlier.

Finally, got the Mexico 5 Pesos 2015. I got the 2014 in that year's December last week, now I got the 2015 one on the first week of January 2016. Seems it is always the late one to reach my region.

Can anybody tell me, is there a circulated 5th Portrait "royal shield" £1 coin? I have the 5th portrait Royal Coat of Arms £1 coin for 2015 and the 4th portrait Shield £1 coin, but cannot for the life of me find a 5th Portrait shield one. It's listed here on the site, but I'm not sure if there are only proofs or uncirculated versions available. Thanks.
Checking my records, for circulating coins, the shield 2015 is only 4th portrait, and the crest (lion/unicorn) 2015 is only the 5th portrait.
Can't find any proof however, but I know I've seen it somewhere.
I'll have a dig around.

Thanks BizzoDoes. So if there is no 5th portrait shield £1 coin, this page is incorrect? Therefore, what coin have all those members got to make this coin have a rarity index of 69?

Ah right, no problem. I will kindly ask our sandwich lady to stop looking out for one for me then lol. I will give her the details of the Battle of Britain 50p and the 3 £2 coins to look for instead :)
Thanks, once again.
EDIT: Do we have a forum for 2016 coins found in circulation set up yet? Not that I've found any, just wondering that's all

Being in the UK I have lots of 2015 coins and listed quite few on here also exchanged quite a fair few too.
If anyone needs a certain denomination let me know asap as modern coinage is not something I collect or hold really due to having to use them for paying bills and feeding my children lol
Also for buying in Pre Decimal Coins for my collection
Revival of this old topic to say I found a French normal €2 coin this Monday (16-05-2016).

Does it count if an acquitance of mine (not interested in coins, as far as I know) visited the relevant country, and gave me some coins from his pocket after he returned? Because if so, I can report another Chinese coin: 5 jiao 2015. (Already entered in my collection.)
And I take the opportunity to report the Russian coins: 10 kopek, 1 ruble, 5 rubles, 10 rubles 2015. (All Moscow mint, naturally. I've actually found all of them [and the 50 kopek, already listed] in change in late December 2015 - wanted the full set, but didn't get to find a 2 ruble coin. They're pretty common by now - except the 2 ruble, anyway, which probably also is but I hadn't checked directly.)
I would've probably mentioned them earlier, but I'm pretty sure I checked and they were already listed. But they don't appear to be listed now (was there another thread?) so I'm listing them again here (just in case).

Yes, it counts. They only coins that don't count are the ones bought at coin dealers. I'll add yours to the list right away!

What a great coin! I really like the design on that one. Much better than those ugly eurocoins we have here...

Mine has been in a machine, it's all scratched on the silver part around the queen's bonce.
Quick question, hopefully a UK member can answer (or anyone really). The Magna Carta £2 coin I have is 5th portrait, but the one listed on here is 4th portrait, did they release both into circulation? If so, does the 5th portrait version need adding to the website?

Thanks Mark,
So, would you say we need to remove the circulation option out of this coin, the top line, and leave just the proof and BUNC versions? Also, do we need to add the 5th portrait version to the catalogue (in which case I will submit along with better cropped pictures tonight)?
Out of curiosity is your coin the 5th portrait also?
I thought I'd better ask in case you were aware of it already being added to the site. Thanks Mark.
Friends passed me a load of Euro change today from their recent holiday, so seen as how it hadn't already been reported, one of them is a 2 Euro Cent for 2015:
I decided on a compromise regarding the commemorative 10 ruble coins of 2014 and 2015: I won't be reporting the coins I got back in 2014 or 2015 (though I can try to list them if you want), but I'll report any that I stumble on again.
The first such coin being the Grozny 10 rubles (I got another example this week - that makes nine or ten, I think, though six of them were from a single gtocery store that apparently just opened a roll of them or something).
Can finally report a 2 ruble 2015 (it's an unremarkable date, so I wasn't sure if I've found one already and just didn't notice, but I happened to notice one in my change today because it was next to a new-style 1 ruble).
I received this coin in a swap with RomanKogan back in March this year, didn't realise until now that this mint hadn't been recorded on here yet. Will add a photo later tonight if required?

In Gibraltar I picked up a full set in change 5p- £2 in change for 2015.
Can you post some pictures of that set? Makes me kinda curious! ;-)

they haven't issued coppers since 2014 and as a result the numbers in commerce are dwindling. I only got 2 pennies and 2 two pence pieces. The £2 coin is also somewhat lesser circulated. They tend to use pound coins a hell of a lot more !
It could be interesting to know why they don't issue 1 and 2 pence coins anymore. I mean, the UK is very conservative about those coins because they keep minting them each year in large numbers and almost every time you find them back in your change. So why would Gibraltar have a different opinion about them, because Gibraltar basically is the UK but only with a more pleasant climate! :D
Anyway, I like the designs a lot and they'll definately be added to the list. ;-)

I'm not sure if they're not issuing copper anymore or whether they're just not making any new for a while. But there certainly doesn't seem to be many circulating. I dare say it may be due to their Spanish connections why they haven't made them as if I'm not mistaken they tend not to use one or two € cents. I was always of the opinion from what I've heard that it's very British but it's simply not true. I would say it's mainly Spanish with a British twist. Listening to them talking gibberish is quite funny.
Just received this from my aunt, who found it in a stamp printer in the post office she is working. Andorra
